Rep. Heartsill has proven record

The midterm election is almost upon us once again. Once voting day on Nov. 4 has passed we will all be pleased at the reprieve from the negative political ads. We will have to wait two more years for that to begin again with the presidential election in 2016.

Through all this we have been rewarded  by one candidate, Rep. Greg Heartsill, who is seeking reelection in District 28 of the Iowa House.

We are blessed to have such a dedicated, honest and upfront family man with business experience and common sense, a character advantage not exhibited by many of the legislators we have today. I have observed his diligence in giving every one of us our money’s worth when it comes to representation. He has sponsored landmark legislation protecting the people of Iowa.

He has supported common sense ideas that are so lacking in government today. His willingness to be open and accessible, fair to anyone who wishes to discuss a problem has been exemplified over and over during his term. He has an open mind willing to listen to anyone who may wish to bring forth an idea to enhance our lives through legislation. As much as we want smaller government and less government intrusion in our lives we still need a watch dog on Capitol Hill protecting our interests. Greg has proven to be such a diligent “watchman on the wall” for us. He will stand up against leadership of both parties if they try to overreach and heap burdensome legislation on us.

We are so fortunate to have Greg representing us in a moral and upright fashion among the hoard of special interest representatives seeking to advance their liberal agendas. Let’s all get behind Greg on Nov. 4 and allow our voice to be heard in Des Moines.
