IOWA CITY — Police have reported a peaceful ending to a 3½-hour standoff with a man who said he had a gun in his Iowa City mobile home.
A city news release says officers were sent to the home a little after 8 p.m. Thursday to check a report about a man who had threatened to burn down his neighbor’s home and had gone inside his own home to get a gun.
