Farmers for Progress Program now underway

Area farmers are encouraged to donate a portion of corn or soybeans to the P.I. Foundation this fall to support programs for people with disabilities to live as independently as possible throughout central Iowa.

Melissa Butler, Communications Director for the P.I. Foundation said, “Just like farmers positively affect so many lives, Progress Industries, through its employment, residential, and day habilitation services impacts the lives of central Iowans with disabilities. This successful partnership among Iowa farmers and the P.I. Foundation supports Progress Industries and its mission for people with disabilities to live more independent lives.”

The process is quick and easy. Farmers simply inform their elevator manager of their intent to donate a portion of their crop to the P.I. Foundation in Newton, Iowa and the donation will be sent on to Progress Industries.
