DAR installs new members

Barbara Lease and Ann Bell were recently installed as members of the Grinnell DAR Chapter. The next meeting of the Grinnell Chapter DAR will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Centre of Arts & Artists in Newton for coffee time, with the meeting beginning at 9:30 a.m. Melinda Hardin and Emily Ehler will serve as hostesses. A change in the program will be the Star Spangled Banner by Barbara Hug with reports by Native American – Lelah Main, Liz Wegner or Merna Rusk; Sunshine Report – Bobbie Collins; American History – Kathy Jones and Good Citizen – Betty Carr. Members are asked to bring a can of soup for October/November meeting for Hobo Soup Luncheon for December meeting. December is too late to bring your can of soup.
