• Gary D. Bird Jr., 39, had a warrant for probation violation when authorities were called to the Adult Probation Office at 12:50 p.m. Friday. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Christina L. Coltrain, 29, of Newton, is charged with failure to yield to a vehicle on right after authorities were called to the intersection of South Sixth Ave East and East 10th Street South at 8:10 a.m. Friday. Coltrain was driving north on East 10th Street North when she hit the driver’s side of John W. Moore, who was heading west on South Sixth Ave East. Coltrain was transported to the emergency room. Both vehicles sustained approximately $3,000 in damage. She was cited and released to appear.

• Timothy C. Harsh, 40, is charged with driving while license suspended after authorities stopped his vehicle in the 100 block of East 23rd Street North at 3:44 p.m. Friday. He was cited and released to appear.

• John W. Moore, 30, of Newton, is charged with no driver’s license after authorities were called to the intersection of South Sixth Ave East and East 10th Street South at 8:10 a.m. Friday. Moore was driving west on South Sixth Ave East when he drove through the uncontrolled intersection. He was struck on the driver’s side by Christina L. Coltrain. Moore complained of pain but did not seek medical attention while Coltrain was transported to the emergency room. Both vehicles sustained approximately $3,000 in damage. He was cited and released to appear.
