Diane Babcock was decked out in red, white and blue this morning as she taught her transitional kindergarten students about New York City and the tragedy that took place there 13 years ago today. Babcock teaches at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School, and the school encouraged all students and staff to wear red, white and blue today, and there was appropriate grade-level curriculum on the events of Sept. 11, 2001, said Lisa Sharp, Thomas Jefferson principal.
