• Alex N. Jenkins, 19, of Newton, is charged with public intoxication and interference with official acts after authorities were called to 1501 N. 11th Ave. E. at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday. Officers were on their way to another call when advised that individuals were intoxicated in a fence area by housing. Jenkins was running towards a car when she stopped because she saw the officers. She was told to go to the officers several times but did not and also refused to give her name. She had bloodshot, watery eyes, and had a strong smell of alcohol. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Ashley M. McCormick, 20, of Newton, is charged with possession of alcohol underage and possessing contraband after authorities were called to 1501 N. 11th Ave. E. at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday. Officers were on their way to another call when advised that individuals were intoxicated in a fence area by housing. McCormick was found with bloodshot, watery eyes and smelling of alcohol. After being placed in jail, a tube of marijuana was found inside her purse. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Jeremy W. Schroeder, 31, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to affix drug stamp, controlled substance violation, first-degree robbery and possession of alcohol after authorities located him at 2602 Highway F-48 W. at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 4. Sept. 3 officers were called to 719 N. Eighth Ave. E. on report of a robbery. Schroeder allegedly entered the residence without permission and demanded money and valuables while in possession of a pistol. The victim attempted to call 911 but was allegedly hit on the left side of her face with the pistol causing bruising and swelling and Schroeder took the phone. A witness said that a female with Schroeder yelled they needed to leave and both left the residence. Officers located Schroeder the next day and after searching the vehicle, found two digital scales, numerous pills, three used syringes and baggies containing meth. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
