• Joshua M. Dewitt, 18, of Sully, is charged with failure to yield upon left turn after authorities were called to DMACC at 7:30 a.m. Monday. Benita Gearhart was driving west in the 700 block of North Second Avenue West when Dewitt turned in front of Gearhart, who was attempting to pull into the DMACC driveway. Gearhart sustained $2,000 in damage to her car while Dewitt’s car received $100 in damage. He was cited and released to appear.

• Dillon R. Phillips, 18, of Newton, is charged with fifth-degree theft after authorities were called to Wal-Mart at 12:21 p.m. Saturday. Officers spoke with the loss prevention employee at Wal-Mart who said she saw Phillips place a roll of duct tape down his pants. Phillips admitted to the theft and returned the item. The total value is $6.97. He was cited and released to appear.

• Ashley J. Schuler, 27, of Newton, is charged with driving while license suspended after authorities pulled her over in the 1200 block of First Avenue East at 12:34 a.m. Monday. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Christopher A. Sutliff, 53, of Grinnell, is charged with operating while under the influence, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after authorities pulled over his vehicle at North 15th Avenue East and Highway 6/ Highway 6 East at 12:55 a.m. Sunday. Sutliff was arrested for OWI and while officers were searching the vehicle officers found marijuana and a metal smoking pipe. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Martin R. Waddle, 47, of Kellogg, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving while license barred, drug paraphernalia, improper use of registration, operating without registration and no insurance after authorities pulled over Waddle at 700 N. Second Ave. W. at 8:28 p.m. Sunday. Waddle was pulled over for having a third brake light out when officers found his driver’s status was barred. When searching his vehicle, officers found numerous drug paraphernalia along with meth. This was Waddle’s third offense. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
