Take the chance this Labor Day weekend to enjoy the recreation opportunities available at Lake Red Rock.
The U.S. Corps of Engineers would like to remind patronts of some water safety tips. No matter what a person has planned — boating, sailing, swimming or fishing — remember to wear a life jacket every time. Accidents happen much too quickly to reach for and put on a stowed life jacket. Life jackets can save lives but only if a person is wearing one. Today they come in a wide variety of colors, shapes and sizes, so find one that fits properly before leaving shore. Bring extra life jackets for guests who may be joining you out on the water too.
While boating, be aware of other boaters and remember that boating and drinking don’t mix. Know your limitations, wear a life jacket, and always swim with a buddy. Have a safe, fun holiday.
