A cornerstone dedication for the Jasper County Veterans Memorial is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday.
The cornerstone laying ceremony will include participation by several local veterans and the public is encouraged to attend.
“It’s a historical piece generally used when buildings going up, we do a cornerstone laying,” said Gary Pearson. “It’s a tradition.”
The event is expected to draw Masonic members from across the state.
The initial dedication of the Jasper County Memorial was held on July 4.
