Hanson Directory Service was honored with a Gold Book Award at the Association of Directory Publishers’ 2014 Annual Convention and Partners Trade Show, recently held in Fort Worth, Texas. The Yellow Page industry competition recognizes publishers and partner members for outstanding directory products and marketing innovations.

Hanson Directory Service’s award-winning entry was in the Radio Marketing category of the competition. The Gold Book Award was bestowed upon Hanson Directory Service for their radio marketing efforts in creating a new jingle for their online directory and mobile app, SurfYellow.com.

“Receiving a Gold Book Award from ADP for our innovative jingle, ‘I’ve Looked Everywhere,’ is a huge accomplishment for Hanson Directory Service,” said Heather Wolf, vice president of production. “‘I’ve Looked Everywhere’ was written and produced by our digital sales coordinator, Nick Knudsen. With the help of our projects manager, Veronica Hanson, Nick was able to use his extensive musical background to orchestrate our award winning jingle. Everyone involved worked hard on this project and I’m proud of their well-deserved achievement.”

Hanson Directory Service of Newton has published telephone directories for independent telephone companies since their inception in 1973. It currently publishes 114 directories for more than 140 telephone companies, located in 28 states throughout the country.

“Hanson Directory Service winning a Gold Book Award for Radio Marketing is an accomplishment and honor,” ADP President and CEO Cindi Aldrich said.
