The asphalt resurfacing project on North Second Avenue West between West Fourth Street North and West Eighth Street North is scheduled to begin Monday morning.
Manatts Inc. will begin by milling the old surface of the street. During this milling work, access to driveways in the work area may be restricted at times. The milling work is expected to take one full day to complete.
Placement of two layers of hot-mix asphalt should begin within a day or two after the completion of the milling work. Further restrictions to driveways will occur during the estimated two days of asphalt overlay work.
Residents along this route are advised to have all vehicles off the street by 7:30 a.m. on Monday morning, and street parking will not be allowed until the project is complete. Through traffic is also advised to avoid the project area by taking an alternate route.
