PCM held scoreless at Carlisle
CARLISLE — Tyler Townsend’s best start of the season wasn’t enough for Prairie City-Monroe Tuesday night against Carlisle.
Carlisle scored the game’s lone run in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat PCM, 1-0.
Townsend pitched all six innings for the Mustangs, his longest outing of the season. He gave up only two hits, the fewest he’s allowed this year, without allowing a walk.
PCM’s offense could only muster three hits against Carlisle. Clay Clooper, Dillon Bruxvoort and Zach Uhlenhopp all singled in the loss.
PCM (10-10) hosts Gladbrook-Reinbeck (15-6) today at 7:30 p.m.
