Former Iowa Hawkeye and NFL standout Tim Dwight will be making a guest appearance at the Newton YMCA on Monday.

Dwight, who played for the University of Iowa and was drafted into the NFL in 1998, will meet with fans from 10 a.m. to noon Monday as part of the Newton YMCA’s Membership Appreciation Week. While this is an event kicking off the Y’s Membership Appreciation Week, all fans are invited to get autographs, take photos and meet with Dwight.

“Tim Dwight is an outstanding Iowan and we are excited to have him visit the Newton YMCA,” said Jessica Lowe, YMCA membership director. “He was a remarkable college and professional football player and now he does amazing work through the Tim Dwight Foundation. We are excited to welcome him to Newton.”

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.newtonymca.org or at facebook.com/NewtoniaYMCA.
