Junior Naturalist Program in July

The Jasper County Conservation Board is offering the Junior Naturalist program for area boys and girls ages 8 to 12 years old. The programs will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. July 7, 8, 10 and 11 and cost $5 each day.

Participants should meet at the Mariposa picnic shelter wearing outdoor clothing and older shoes. Various outdoor related subjects will be covered such as habitat, art in the park, digital photography and pond life. Activities will be outdoors at Mariposa Park located just off of Highway T-12, about seven miles northeast of Newton.
