The entomology department at Iowa State brought tarantulas, scorpions, giant walking sticks, giant millipedes and hissing cockroaches for an Insect Zoo Open House as part of the library’s summer reading program “Fizz, Boom, Read!”  For more programs at the library this summer, visit the library’s website at All programs are free and open to the public.
