Richard E. ‘Dick’ Clark

Richard E. “Dick” Clark, 90, of Newton died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the Newton Health Care Center in Newton.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Hamilton Cemetery in Hamilton. Memorials in Dick’s name may be left at the funeral home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add Attn: Clark Family on the envelope.

Those left to honor Dick’s memory are his son-in-law, Larry Altemeier of Newton; grandchildren, Kellie Dodge (Steve Wertz) of Kellogg, Staci (Mike) Bird of Newton and Justin Altemeier (Kelli Aldrich) of Newton; his five great-grandchildren, Mikie (Lance) Hansen of Newton, Ethan Dodge of Newton, Jaci Reeves of Newton, Jaden Reeves of Newton and Sophia Bird of Newton; three step-great-grandchildren, Shelby, Logan and Mollie Bird of Newton; great-great-granddaughter, Kaylee Hansen; and his siblings, Irma Smool of Hamilton, Leroy Clark of Bussey and Eugene Clark of Hamilton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife June in 1983; two daughters, Cheryl Clark in infancy and Connie Altemeier on April 6, 2014; two brothers, Robert and Larry Clark; and three sisters, Edith Lynhart, Leona Burk, Shirley Blagden and Beulah Morgan of Newton.
