MENLO — Prairie City-Monroe senior Cassidy Van Veen finished 11th at Tuesday’s Iowa Class 3A Region 2 girls’ golf tournament.
Van Veen had rounds of 46 and 46 for a 92 on the 5x80 Golf Course in Menlo. Brooke Fletcher of Atlantic won the regional title with a 76.
“Cassidy had a great season this year and I have really enjoyed having her on our team the past four years and will miss her and her twin sister Kelsey next year,” said Val Edwards, PCM girls‘ head coach. “ I wish both of them the best of luck in their college careers and will continue to keep track of both of them as they move on to play golf at Simpson College.”
