Eagle boys place third

KNOXVILLE — Pella Christian’s Eagles came away with third place at Tuesday’s Little Hawkeye Conference triangular golf meet hosted by Knoxville at Pine Knolls Country Club.

Knoxville won the nine-hole event with a 167 followed by Grinnell with a 168. The Eagle boys finished with a 171.

Mason Howerzyl carded a 41 — a shot back of co-runner-ups from Knoxville and Grinnell. Grinnell had a golfer win the meet with a 37.

Josh Posthuma finished with a 42 for Pella Christian while Mitch Fopma and Jason Holwerda each shot 44s. Graham Howerzyl came in with a 45 followed by Jordan Pleima at 46, Justin Stravers at 47 and Tanner Van Manen with a 49.
