NAMI of Jasper County will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Skiff Medical Center south board room just inside the south entrance.
Jill Clapper and Kelly Kirk will give a report about the NAMI Iowa fundraising dinner, which featured researchers and clinicians from the University of Iowa Department of Psychiatry who spoke about the latest research on mental illness. The group also will discuss the June 4 program at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy for First Responders who may deal with persons with mental illness.
NAMI of Jasper County is the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and meets the third Monday of each month. Anyone interested in mental health issues is invited to come to the monthly meetings. For more information, call Bill Ehler at (641) 792-2441.
