Michael G. Petroff, 53, formerly of Newton, died Thursday, April 10, 2014, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.
A funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 14, at Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton. Visitation with Michael’s family will be one hour prior to the service, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday.
Michael, the son of John and Dorothy (Greve) Petroff, was born Feb. 17, 1961, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. He was a graduate of the Newton Senior High School, Class of 1979, and later from the University of Iowa.
Michael was united in marriage with Sidney Chang. He was an owner of House Smart Realty, as a real estate broker, in Indianapolis.
Michael is survived by his wife, Sidney Chang of Indianapolis; his mother, Dorothy Petroff of Kansas City, Mo.; his three siblings, Susan (Robert) Casady of Springfield, Mo., John Robert “Bob” (Colleen) Petroff of Bloomington, Minn., and Elizabeth (Michael) Low of Kansas City, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, John Petroff; his maternal grandparents, Ethel and Herbert Greve; and his paternal grandmother, Mary Perkovsky.
