Jasper County Sheriff’s Office

• Katrina R. Finch, 21, of Newton was charged with operating while intoxicated after authorities stopped her at 9:12 p.m. Feb. 26 in the 6200 block of Highway F48 West. She failed sobriety tests and had a BAC of .106. She was transported to the Jasper County Jail.

• Joel K. Struik, 33, of Leighton was charged with child neglect, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked after authorities responded to a single-vehicle accident at 9:25 p.m. Feb. 24 in the 12500 block of Kennel Avenue in Jasper County. Struik lost control of his vehicle and entered a ditch while driving with two small children, ages 1 and 5. Struik smelled of alcohol and admitted to smoking marijuana prior to the accident. Authorities located two baggies of a green leafy substance in plain view on the center console of the vehicle. Authorities also found a marijuana pipe. The children were moved under DEC protocol and transported to Skiff Medical Center for evaluation. Struik was transported to the Jasper County Jail. Additional charges are pending test results.

• Christopher J. Lehrkamp of Newton was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia after authorities responded to a complaint at 11:35 a.m. March 2 at 301 Highway S52 N. Lehrkamp was charged for allegedly causing problems while intoxicated at the victim’s house and having a glass marijuana pipe in his possession. He was transported to the Jasper County Jail.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. It is the policy of the Daily News to release the names of individuals charged with a crime who are 16 and older.
