Lacey Rachelle Bucklin

Lacey Rachelle Bucklin, 35, of Newton peacefully went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at her aunt’s home in rural Newton. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship in Newton. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.  Memorials in Lacey’s name may be left at the church the morning of the service or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home.

Lacey, the daughter of Ron and Cindy (Deutsch) Bucklin, was born Oct. 26, 1978, in Newton. She grew up and made her home in Baxter, where she graduated from Baxter High School in 1998. Lacey was a member of Cornerstone Bible Fellowship. She recently moved to Newton. Lacey enjoyed eating out, time with friends, bowing, puzzles and cats. She also liked to collect angels.

Those left to honor Lacey’s memory are her mother, Cindy (Denny) Carpenter of Newton; sister, Alana (Dave) Kirkman of Newton; nieces and nephews, Brandon, Deana, Levi and Anna Kirkman; maternal grandmother, Marilyn Deutsch of Baxter; paternal grandmother, Lucille Bucklin Nelson of Marshalltown; her uncle, Bill Bucklin of Marshalltown; aunts, Lonnie (Gary) Steinfeldt of Newton, Julie (Dale) Bappe of Cedar Rapids, and Kathy (Ed) Faire of Missouri; special family friends, Rod and Judy Kampman of Cedar Falls; and her many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ron Bucklin in 1997; her maternal and paternal grandfathers; and uncles, Dave, Jim, and Mike.
