The Prairie City Church of the Brethren is holding a Fall Compassion Challenge by hosting a soup supper from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14.
All proceeds from the freewill offering soup supper will help raise money toward a $1,000 matching grant to be given to needy families in our communities.
There also will be crafts, baked goods, canned minced meat, etc.
Damage at the church from wind, rain and hail has been repaired, and the sanctuary will be open for viewing.
