Newton Police Department
• Pennie J. Church, 40, of Newton was cited with leaving the scene of an accident after authorities responded to a two-vehicle accident at 3 p.m. Nov. 12. Authorities determined Church backed out of a parking spot in the Our Savior Lutheran Church parking lot, struck a parked vehicle owned by Terry J. Seitz of Newton, then left the scene after observing no damage to either vehicle. Seitz contacted authorities and reported a grill ornament was knocked off the front of his car and that there were two long scratches on the hood. Damage was estimated at $200. No injuries were reported.
