High school boys hit the water

Newton Cardinal swimming opened practices Monday at the Newton YMCA pool. The high school boys' swimming team was in the water Tuesday afternoon working on flip turns under the direction of head coach David Hook. At right, Coach Hook talks of the importance of strong flip turns to swimmers. The boys open the 2013-2014 swim season Nov. 26 at Southeast Polk.
