HIAWATHA (AP) — A fire has spread from one mobile to five in a mobile home park in the Cedar Rapids suburb of Hiawatha.
Firefighters were dispatched around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday to the Tower Terrace Mobile Home Park.
Hiawatha Fire Chief Mike Nesslage suspects a gas meter burned off at one home, allowing natural gas to escape and be ignited.
At least nine residents fled safely. No injuries have been reported.
