Shopping, fashion and fun: Ladies Night Out brings in over 50 vendors

It’s time once again for area women to enjoy an evening out with girlfriends and see what local retailers have to offer.

On Thursday, at the Newton DMACC Conference Center, the Newton Daily News will be hosting the fifth annual Ladies Night Out, a great opportunity to get in contact with vendors you don’t usually see.

“I think it’s a great opportunity for ladies to attend because they can see a lot of vendors all in one place. Some people don’t have a consultant or their consultant has retired, but this gives them the chance to network with new people,” said Brenda Lamb, Mary Kay consultant and vendor at this year’s Ladies Night Out event. “I’m looking forward to seeing all the faces that come through and to meet people.”

Ladies Night Out costs $5 per person or $4 and one nonperishable food item that will be donated to the Salvation Army food pantry. It will take place from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

With more than 50 vendors this year, there will be something for everybody. Whether you’re looking for a new pair of eye glasses, a purse, a gift idea or a future vacation, you never know what you might find at Ladies Night Out.

This year’s Ladies Night Out will feature the following vendors: Scentsy, Norwex, Mary Kay, Tupperware, The Dental Practice, Audrey Oliphant Photography, JH Travel, AdvoCare, Cato, Stacy’s Sweet Stuff, Tastefully Simple, Project Awake, It Works — Sadie Bartling, Tara Whitson — Artistry Consultant, Miche Bag, Pit Stop Liquors, The Bridal Sweet, Pure Romance, Longaberger, Integrity Cleaning and Restoration, Nancy’s Canned Creations, JCARL, Skiff Medical Center, Pampered Chef, Koenen Chiropractic, Newton Eye Clinic, Fairwings Jewelry and Gems, Rainbow Pendants, Avon, Be You Tiful, Young Living Oils and Shaklee.

Pit Stop Liquors will be giving samples of its products throughout the evening as well.

“With the wide variety of vendors, it’s a good opportunity for people to meet different people and be introduced to products you might be familiar with but haven’t sought out and especially with the holidays coming up. There are a lot of gift ideas and party hosting supplies here,” said Jeff Holschuh, Newton Daily News Advertising Director and event coordinator.
