Crisis Center & Women’s Shelter receives donation

The Crisis Center & Women’s Shelter recently received a $10,000 donation from the Ottumwa Regional Hospital Auxiliary.  

The funds will assist in housing victims in emergency shelter or for permanent housing. The Rural Domestic Abuse Project serves 11 counties in South Central Iowa, including Appanoose, Davis, Jasper, Jefferson, Lucas, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Poweshiek, Wapello and Wayne. All services are provided at no cost to the victim and are available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

The Crisis Line number is 1-800-464-8340.  All donations are tax deductible and can be sent to PO Box 446, Ottumwa, IA 52501.
