This week’s agenda light for Board of Supervisors

Based on the agenda, the Jasper County Board of Supervisors were slated to have a light day of work Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Jasper County Sheriff John Halferty will present two items to the board. He will first present the board with a quote to have a console moved and an antenna replaced at the Jasper County Emergency Operations Command Center.  Perry-based Spring Valley Wireless submitted a quote of $16,595.

Some of the items included in the quote were removing and reinstalling a console at the EOC,  eight hours of crane rental, placing eight PolyPhasers and grounding for lightening protection, and placing antennas around the facility.

Halferty will also present his office’s quarterly report. His office had $145,563.96 in receipts and $154,338.60 in disbursements.  His office started the quarter with a balance of $24,497.27 and ended with balance of $15,722.63.

Jasper County Maintenance Supervisor Adam Sparks will present the board with a proposal from Liberty-based A&J Associates who provide consulting for mechanical and electric engineering.  A&J are offering to help consult Sparks on the upcoming elevator update that will take place at the courthouse.

A&J estimated its services would cost around $5,300.

Jasper County Recorder Nancy Parrott will present her office’s  September report for approval. Her office collected $16,246.54 last month.
