The Jasper County Conservation Department will offer a fur trapping program beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve.
Participants will have the chance to learn the history of trapping in the state and the important role that trappers play in managing populations. There also will be a hands-on portion, with participants discussing the safe way to set a trap and signs to look for when doing so.
