Newton Police Department

• Tony L. Beck Sr., 49, of Newton was cited for unsafe entry onto a roadway after officers were dispatched at 3:55 p.m. Sept. 24 to 2409 S. Eighth Ave. E. on a report of an accident. Beck was backing out of a driveway when he struck a vehicle driven by Danny D. Daniels, 58, of Newton, causing $2,000 in damage and $500 in damage to his own vehicle.

• Rudy A. Davis, 28, of Newton was arrested on an active warrant out of Marshalltown for failure to appear for sentencing after authorities located him at 9:35 p.m. Sept. 20 at the 1200 block of West Seventh Street South. He was taken to jail.

• Mackenzie J. Malloy, 18, of Newton was cited for failing to yield to a vehicle on the right after officers were dispatched at 8:28 p.m. Friday to the intersection of South 12th Avenue West and West Seventh Street South on a report of a car accident. Malloy struck a vehicle driven by Josie L. Jacobs, 16, of Newton, causing $1,000 in damage to the Jacobs vehicle and $400 to her own. The vehicles entered the uncontrolled intersection at the same time.

• Dylan S. Plumb, 19, of Newton was cited for failure to maintain control after officers were dispatched at 4:43 p.m. Saturday to the 100 block of East Eighth Street North on report of an accident. Plumb told officers he dropped some food he was eating and that when he reached down to pick it up, he lost sight of the road and struck a vehicle that was unoccupied and parked on the side of the street. The accident caused $800 damage to Plumb’s vehicle and $1,000 damage to the other vehicle.

• Donnie W. Ringgenberg, 54, of Newton was cited for unsafe backing after officers were dispatched at 8:22 p.m. Sept. 25 to 709 E. 25th St. S. on a report of an accident. Ringgenberg backed into an unoccupied vehicle causing, $10 in damage to his own vehicle and $1,300 to the other vehicle.

Jasper County Sheriff’s Office

• Jennifer L. Bracy, 32, of Haverville was charged with serious assault after deputies were dispatched at 2 a.m. Sunday to 10366 W. 56th St. N., Baxter on a report of an assault. Bracy struck the victim with the back of her right hand, causing a one-inch cut. She was placed in jail.

• Danny J. Bucklin, 56, of Newton was charged with public intoxication after deputies were dispatched at 1:45 a.m. Sunday to Greencastle Tavern in Mingo on a report of a fight. Upon arrival, deputies performed field sobriety tests, and a breath test showed a .212 BAC. He was placed in jail.

• Joshua C. Byrd, 26, of Newton was charged with public intoxication after deputies were dispatched at 2:37 a.m. Saturday to 316 S. Fifth Ave. W. on a report of an unresponsive male on the deck of the house. He failed a field sobriety test and had a .212 BAC. He was placed in jail.

• Cody John Kelso, 25, of Grinnell was transported to the Jasper County Jail at 2 p.m. Monday from Grinnell after they arrested him on a warrant for probation violation.

• James R. Langenberg, 51, of Baxter was charged with public intoxication after deputies were dispatched at 12:59 a.m. Saturday to the Greencastle Tavern in Mingo on report of a male who had fainted. Upon arrival, deputies saw than he had a two-inch cut above his nose and told officers he had drank way too much and started drinking too early. He was unable to perform the standard field sobriety tests. He was released to appear in court.

• Joseph Levi Richards, 26, of Newton was arrested on an active warrant after officers located him at 12:25 a.m. Friday at 1107 W. Sixth St. S. He was taken to jail.

• Luis Mariano Sandoval, 32, of Newton was transported from the Marshalltown Police Department to the Jasper County Jail at 2:21 a.m. Friday on an active warrant.

• Andrea D. Stadmiller-Lawson, 29, of Monroe was charged with interference with official acts after deputies were dispatched at 11:50 a.m. Sept. 20 to 505 W. Lincoln St. in Monroe on a report of a verbal argument. While attempting to diffuse to argument, the deputy asked Stadmiller-Lawson to go inside the apartment. She came back out and told the deputy she wouldn’t comply. She began swearing at the deputy and had to be restrained. She was placed in jail.

•  Jordan J. Troen, 22, of Newton was arrested on an active warrant after officers located him at 4:53 p.m. Sunday. He was taken to jail.

• Andrew M. Utterback, 43, of Newton was arrested on an active warrant after officers located him at 9:05 p.m. Thursday at 210 E. 28th St. N.  He was taken to jail.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. It is the policy of the Newton Daily News to release the names of individuals charged with a crime who are 16 and older.
