The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office conducted a verification of all registered sex offenders yesterday and were unable to locate three men.
Leonidas M. Psomas, 44, of Newton, Jerry E. Sanders Jr., 52, of Newton and Jonathan R. Etter, 31, of Colfax were all charged with failure to register as a sex offender after deputies could not locate them Wednesday.

In six hours, deputies verified, or are in the process of verifying, the registration details of over 60 registered sex offenders. Deputies were assisted by Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Baxter Police Department.
