Kids Against Hunger packaging event, free meal at Holy Trinity

A special packaging for Kids Against Hunger will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1409 S. Eighth Ave. E. in Newton.

Everyone is welcome to participate as the church celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Following the packaging event, a free community meal will be from 5 to 6 p.m. The meal will include hot ham and cheese sandwiches, assorted salads, brownies and ice cream.
