GRINNELL — NCMP’s Aquagirls have not met their match yet this season. On Thursday, they won both the varsity and junior varsity team competiton against Indianola and Grinnell at the Grinnell tournament.

“We won both the junior varsity and varsity meets by wide margins over each of the teams. Our team goal tonight was aggressive courage to really take our races out fast and see how far we could push ourselves. For the most part, I feel we accomplished our goal, but we still ahve a ways to go.”

Carly Colville won the 200 freestlye were Kira Hanson and Emily Forsyth third and fourth in the race for the Aquagirls’ varsity. Samantha Hedrick, Hannah Rhoads and Sierra Griffth went 1-2-3 in the 200 individual medley.

Patterson said all the NCMP individual medley swimmers had strong races. Other fast times included Emily Miller, Abby Jolivette, Olivia Maharry, Willa Colville and Taylor Tremmel.
