Several City of Newton services will be closed Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
Newton City Hall, Newton Sanitary Landfill, Newton Public Library, Newton Parks & Recreation Office, Newton Public Works and Newton police and fire department business offices will be closed Monday.
Westwood Municipal Golf Course will be for business as usual, and Dodd’s Trash Hauling & Recycling Inc. will not pick up trash or recyclables for Newton city residents on Labor Day. Trash and recyclables collection will be moved back one day — Monday’s will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday’s will be picked up on Wednesday, etc.
