Newton’s Community Board of Education will hold a special 7 a.m. meeting Thursday regarding the former Maytag home/district office.
At Monday’s meeting, the board voted to delay final approval of the sale to Steve and Laura Joechems until an abstract and a resolution of the sale was drawn up by the district’s attorneys.
The board is expected to pick a date for the final public hearing and authorize Board Secretary/Business Director Gayle Isaac permission to publish and distribute notice of the date.
