• Cassidy D. Miller, 17, of Newton was cited for failing to obey a stop sign after officers were dispatched at 10:47 a.m. Friday to East 19th Street North and North 11th Avenue East on report of a car accident. Miller was heading west when she struck a vehicle driven by Dale E. Barr, 49, of Newton in the passenger side causing $8,000 in damage to Barr’s vehicle and $500 to her vehicle. No one was injured.
