• Andrew J. Bulmer, 20, of Kellogg was charged with fifth-degree theft after officers were dispatched at 2:07 a.m. May 5 to Hy-Vee on report of a theft. Bulmer attempted to steal an ice pack valued at $3.20. He was already in jail on Tuesday when he was served the charge. Bulmer was also charged with fourth-degree theft and third-degree burglary by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office for breaking into a home at an unknown time on March 20 at 208 Third Ave. in Sully, allegedly taking a shotgun and an Xbox. He told officers he stole the shotgun because it was his but stole the Xbox “just because.” He was placed in jail.
• Jordan A. Eatwell, 23, of Newton was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated after officers were dispatched at 7:17 a.m. Tuesday to Maytag Park on report of a male slumped over the steering wheel of his car. Eatwell failed field sobriety tests and had a .110 BAC. He was released to appear in court.
