• Nathan L. McCumber, 26, of Newton was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and driving while license revoked after deputies performed a routine traffic stop at 11:40 p.m. Friday on the 10400 block of Highway 14 South. McCumber admitted to drinking two beers and taking prescription drugs that are not to be taken with alcohol. A breath test indicated a BAC under the legal limit. A drug recognition expert was called to evaluate the defendant. McCumber was placed in jail.
• Aaron Stout, 33, of Oskaloosa, was transported from Wapello County Jail to Jasper County Jail at 2:01 p.m. Saturday. Stout had a outstanding arrest warrant out of Jasper County for failure to appear in court on a fifth-degree theft charge.
