Newton Senior High's Cardinals open fall football practices Monday afternoon at H.A. Lynn Stadium. Offensive linemen work on blocking techiniques and Cardinal Head Coach Ed Ergenbright talks to players before they break into units for practice. Newton's football scrimmage is 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24. The Cardinals open the 2013 season Aug. 30 on the road against Norwalk.
