Primetime Fellowship

Ron Nearmyer welcomed 67 to the Monday, July 15, Primetime potluck meal in the Community Heights Alliance Church Gathering Room. Pastor John Patterson led devotions using Psalm 13, noting some people are like a wheelbarrow — you have to push some to get them going, then they get upset easily, just like a wheelbarrow.

Hosts for the evening were Chuck and Gladys Harris, Jack Calhoun and Marlene Waddle. Thanks to Pat Butin for setting the tables and decorating. Birthdays celebrated were Donna Baarda, Larry Bell, John Green and Carolyn Van Vark. Door prizes went to Nelson Hoskins, Josh Jackson, LaVera Green and Lori Swanson. The Rickety Road Bluegrass Band with Juanita Faults and Nelson and Rhonda Hoskins presented a delightful variety of music to match the mood of the beautiful July day.

On Thursday, Aug. 29, there will be a three-hour lunch cruise on Rathbun Lake. The cost is $45 per person. Attendees will leave the church at 10 a.m.. The deadline to register is Aug. 22. Gas money is $2 per person. Any questions, call the church office at (641) 792-1620.
