Newton Police Department

• Max B. Thomasson, 38, of Newton was charged with violating his probation after officers were dispatched at 7:13 p.m. Thursday to the 1300 block of First Avenue East on report of an individual with an outstanding warrant. Thomasson’s original charge was drug possession. He was taken to jail.

• James T. Entrekin Jr., 29, of Chariton was cited for violation of financial liability, improper use of registration, leaving the scene of an accident and following too close after officers were dispatched at 5:11 p.m. Wednesday to the intersection of E. 17th St. N. and First Avenue East on report of car accident. Entrenkin rear ended another vehicle, driven by Sharon K. Eaton, 62, of Newton at the intersection. The estimated amount of damage done to Eaton’s vehicle was $1,500 and $10 to Entrekin’s vehicle. And officer located Entrekin after leaving the scene.

• Scott A. Dawson  41, of Newton was charged with driving with a revoked license after officers pulled him over at 9:05 p.m. Saturday at the 200 block West First Street North. He was released to appear in court.

• Wendy S. Bonnet-Zouette, 35, of Newton was charged with driving with a revoked license after officers pulled her over at 7:01 p.m. Saturday at the 100 block of Second Avenue East. She was released to appear in court.

• Rodney C. Lewis, 30, of Newton was charged with driving with a revoked license after officers pulled him over at 3:18 p.m. Saturday at the 100 block of East 17th Street North. He was released to appear in court.
