Newton Police Department
• Krista M. Breckenridge, 21, of Newton was charged with fifth-degree theft after officers were dispatched at 1:25 p.m. Tuesday to Walmart on report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival, asset protection employees told officers they had witnessed Breckenridge conceal items on her person that totaled in value of $30.02. Breckenridge was taken to jail.
• Alex N. Jenkins, 18, of Newton was charged with fifth-degree criminal mischief after officers were dispatched to 10:53 p.m. Saturday to 1227 S. Fifth Ave. E. on report of criminal mischief. Upon arrival, an officer noticed several food products, including eggs and various sauces, scattered on the driveway and sidewalk. The estimated damage caused was $10. Jenkins was released to appear in court. On Sunday at 7:20 p.m. at 1300 S. Fifth Ave. E., Jenkins was charged with disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched on report of a fight. Jenkins was taken to jail in relation to those charges.
• Cody W. Minenga, 32, of Newton was charged with disorderly conduct after officers were dispatched at 7:20 p.m. Sunday to 1300 S. Fifth Ave. E. on report of a fight. Both individuals admitted to a physical altercation but said the other person attacked first. Minenga was taken to jail.
• Kendall R. Morgan, 61, of Newton was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated after officers were dispatched at 10:53 p.m. Saturday to 1227 S. Fifth Ave. E. on report of criminal mischief. Morgan failed field sobriety tests and refused a PBT at first, then consented to one that resulted in a BAC of .093. Morgan was released to appear in court.
• Tianna D. Wolfe, 20, of Newton was charged with fifth-degree criminal mischief after officers were dispatched to 10:53 p.m. Saturday to 1227 S. Fifth Ave. E. on report of criminal mischief. Wolfe was released to appear in court.
Jasper County Sheriff’s Office
• Brock M. Burgdorf, 25, of Lighton was charged with violating his probation after deputies received him from Warren County Law Enforcement after they discovered that Burgdorf had a warrant for his arrest in Jasper County.
• Joel G. Case, 34, of Colfax was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree theft, criminal trespass and possession of burglar’s tools after deputies were dispatched at 11:41 a.m. Tuesday to 8035 Highway 117 N. on report of a possible theft. Case was observed removing sheet metal from a building on the property. The total amount of stolen metal was $11,800. Case was taken to jail.

Jacobs, 40, of Pleasant Hill was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree theft, criminal trespass and possession of burglar’s tools after deputies were dispatched at 11:41 a.m. Tuesday to 8035 Highway 117 N. on report of a possible theft. Jacobs was observed removing sheet metal from a building on the property. The total amount of stolen metal was $11,800. Jacobs was taken to jail.

Kobrock, 61, of Des Moines was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, first-degree theft, criminal trespass and possession of burglar’s tools after deputies were dispatched at 11:41 a.m. Tuesday to 8035 Highway 117 N. on report of a possible theft. Kobrock was observed removing sheet metal from a building on the property. The total amount of stolen metal was $11,800. Kobrock was taken to jail.
• Wesley A. Rearidon, 27, of Newton was charged with serious assaults after deputies were dispatched at 9:15 p.m. Monday to 316 Hickory St. on report of a fight. Reardidon was involved in an altercation at the residence and was intoxicated. He began punching several people inside the house. Witnesses stated that he attempted to fight multiple people. Rearidon was located at his own residence and had multiple injuries. He was taken to jail.
