Museum coffee time set for Saturday

The Jasper County Historical Museum will host a coffee time event from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the museum in the barn. 

Homemade coffee cake and coffee will be available for $1 each with free refills on the coffee. The museum will open for regular tours at 1 p.m. with the last tour beginning at 4 p.m.  The museum is located at 1700 S. 15 Ave. W. in Newton on the frontage road east of the Interstate 80 and Highway 14 interchange. 

The coffee, coffeecake and conversation event will be on the  first and third Saturday in July and August.
