MARSHALLTOWN — Slipping and sliding were the cars in the I.M.C.A. Sport Compacts feature race last Friday night at Marshalltown Speedway.
The multi-grooved racing surface produced some interesting action on the initial start of many of Friday’s races. Plus fans in attendance experienced extra excitement when spectators raced their personal cars in spectator eliminators on Central Iowa Farm Stores Night at MoTown.
After the initial start was called back in the I.M.C.A. Sport Compacts feature, John Gill went to the lead then slid up the track on lap three. That opened the door for David Moorman go to the front of the pack. Moorman slid off the backstretch on the next lap but continued to lead
