DuPont Pioneer presents grant to Jasper County Agricultural Society Foundation

DuPont Pioneer and local sales professionals Lowry Seed Sales, VM Seeds, Central Iowa Seeds, Iowa Crescent Seeds and Schnell Seeds donated a total of $7,500 to the Jasper County Agricultural Society Foundation for the construction of a new scale house project at the fairgrounds.

“We are grateful to DuPont Pioneer for supporting our county fair and the local 4-H and FFA kids who will utilize this scale,” said Doyle Ver Ploeg of the Jasper County Agricultural Society Foundation. “The fairgrounds lost the only scale during a flood three years ago, and we’ve relied on the generosity of local farmers to help us out ever since. This donation will allow our kids to fully utilize the fairgrounds year round.”

The project establishes a permanent, central location at the fairgrounds for all 4-H and FFA members to utilize.

As the philanthropic arm of DuPont Pioneer, the DuPont Pioneer Giving Program makes contributions to community-based organizations on behalf of the business and employees.
