Area softball results

Lynnville-Sully High’s softball team closed out its regular season with two wins in three games this past weekend.

The Hawks kicked off the weekend in dominating fashion, winning at Keota, 21-0 in three innings.

Madison Rasmusson picked up the victory for the Hawks. She pitched three perfect innings in the circle, striking out one.

Beca Vos led the team with three RBIs and a home run. Shelby Davis was 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Jade Van Rees had two RBIs and a run scored. Kristal Beyer picked up two RBIs on two singles. Kasaiah Ehresman had the final two RBIs on two hits in three at-bats.

The Hawks split their final two games of the year at a tournament at Ballard on Saturday. The Hawks won easily, 7-1, over Ballard.

Rasmusson pitched all seven innings, giving up one earned run on four hits and two walks while striking out six batters.

Davis had two hits in four at-bats with three runs scored and a solo home run. Lysandara James led the squad with three RBIs on three hits including a double. Shaylin Lukehart had a solo RBI on a double.

The most severe of the Hawks’ five losses in the regular season came in their last game, an 11-0 loss to Martensdale-Saint Mary’s.

Emma Schnell took the loss for L-S, giving up 11 runs on 14 hits in six innings pitched.

The Hawks had two hits on the day. Those hits were a double by Vos and a single by Ehresman.
