As of July 4, bacteria sampling at North Overlook Beach at Lake Red Rock showed extremely low bacteria counts. The beach will no longer be posted “Swimming Not Recommended.” Test results from the main body of the lake continue to show low bacterial counts.
The following recreation areas are closed at this time: Whitebreast Beach, South Overlook Boat Ramp and a portion of the Volksweg Trail near Marina Cove. All other Corps of Engineers recreation areas around the lake and below the Red Rock Dam are open at this time.
