Kirkwood Community College

Chase Jansen of Kellogg was named to the Kirkwood Community College dean’s list for the spring 2013 semester.

Mercy College

of Health Sciences

Several local students have been named to the president’s and dean’s lists for the spring 2013 semester at Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines.

Leasha Trease of Newton, Erin VanDerwerf of Monroe, Shelly Hutchings of Prairie City and Stacia Vos of Sully were named to the president’s list. Katelyn Buehrer of Colfax was named to the dean’s list.

To qualify for the president’s list, students must attain a grade point average of 3.75 or higher in their most recent semester for a minimum of six credit hours. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must attain a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.749 in their most recent semester for a minimum of six credit hours.

Kristina Grier of Newton graduated with a bachelor of science degree in nursing April 19 during the Mercy College of Health Sciences spring commencement ceremony in Des Moines.
